One of the Georgia Association of Assessing Officials (GAAO) Executive Board goals for this year is to recognize outstanding achievements within counties and among GAAO members. With the support of the Executive Board, one of the Membership Committee priorities is to bring these achievements to recognition. The Membership Committee is collecting information for the following achievements:

• A good statistical standing within your county’s digest for the last three years, including Level of Assessment, Coefficient of Dispersion, and Price Related Differential.
• Any GAAO members within your office staff who have passed a certification level exam in 2008.
• Any GAAO members within your office staff who have been awarded any other appraisal achievements.
• Any GAAO members with 20 years or more experience in Georgia property assessment or appraisal experience.

Outstanding achievements will be acknowledged in the GAAO newsletter and/or the GAAO website. Please submit achievement information, including county name, employee name and title to:

The GAAO Executive Board and Membership Committee also encourage counties to participate in the GAAO newsletter. County profiles are both interesting and informative to association members.
